We know we always talk about hair habits that you need to stop - but what about hair habits that you need to take up? Yup, there are some hair habits that you should be doing and of course we’re going to let you in on them. The result? Healthy, happier hair - need we say more?! : )…
BE KIND TO YOUR SCALP
First things first, with a healthy scalp comes healthy hair. So never, everrrrrr ignore itchy, flaky, oily or a dry scalp. Instead use the appropriate product for your scalp issue such as a clarifying shampoo which will work to remove product-up and dandruff. To give your scalp some extra TLC be sure to massage some invigorating oils like peppermint or olive into it to hydrate and stimulate your scalp.
INFUSE MOISTURE
We all get to grips with washing our hair (obvs!), but very few of us forget about maintaining daily moisture in our tresses. To avoid dry and hair that can easily break/split be sure to moisturise your tresses with creams, oils and hair mists are also perfect for infusing moisture into your hair. We would definitely recommend to add this into your daily haircare routine, which can be easily done by moisturising your hair in the morning or evening. Simple!
WEEKLY DEEP CONDITION
Now, we know that word on the grape vine is the deep conditioners and/or hair masks should only be used every now and then. But, in actual fact - they should be use way more often, preferably every week. We absolutely love the Maria Nila Structure Repair Masque to give our tresses some much needed TLC. It’s really easy to incorporate a weekly deep condition into your hair care routine, too. Simply pick one day a week to deep condition your tresses and you’ll soon seen an improvement in the health of your hair.
TRIM YOUR LOCKS
A classic tip that we should alllll take on board. A quick trim will instantly make your hair appear a little healthier by nipping away at those split ends. Of course it’s a good idea to head to your hair stylist for a quick trim - we know how tempting it is to chop your own locks but generally, it is a disaster waiting to happen. Leave it to the pro’s, gals.
TURN OFF THE HEAT
Heated styling are basically our saviours for creating our favourites hairstyle but, not so much to our delicate tresses. Applying excessive heat to your hair can do serious damage to your tresses however, a heat-free hairstyling lifestyle is pretty impossible if you like, NEED to straighten your hair. But, there is of course an easy way to cut back. How?! Well, it’s easy - using a heat protector, allowing your hair to air dry, use heated styling tools on a lower heat. Every little helps, remember.
So, there you have it. Some hair tips that you need to pick up, for the better. Do you have any other hair habits that we need to pick up? : )
