Okay so the best and cheapest way to add some shine into your tresses and brighten up those dull tresses is with an apple cider vinegar rinse. All you need to do is mix a quarter cup of vinegar with two cups of water, then shampoo your hair as normal. Then you can apply the apple cider vinegar to your tresses and leave for a few minutes (or you can leave it overnight). This mix works to stimulate your scalps and restore its pH level as well as cleansing the hair (without stripping natural oils, removing buildup from styling products whilst helping to retain moisture - all the elements that make hair gorgeously glossy.

To achieve shiny salon-worthy tresses it’s all about choosing (and using!) the right products. For shampoo and conditioners, it’s best to opt for a frizz-taming shampoo which works to smooth the cuticle layer of the hair to prep your locks. Then use a treatment mask for ultimate shine. Do you suffer from dandruff and find your hair super lacklustre? Dandruff causes your hair to look and feel lifeless, not to mention how annoying your itchy scalp can get so we think it's time to bring the nifty trick of crushing aspirin into your shampoo out. Aspirin contains salicylic acid, which works to target all the product residue and dead skin cells that gather on the scalp - and we all know how harmful product buildup can be, right?! Okay so to revia your hair (and scalp) crush and mix two aspirin pill in with your shampoo and wash all the unwanted build up away. However, remember not to over do it - salicylic acid can have a drying effect and may steal some of your scalps natural oils. To avoid overdoing it, start with a weekly treatment and as you start to see some improvement you can start using it monthly instead.

Last but not least, a super easy way to achieve shiny hair - avoid hot water at all costs. We know, we know, using cold water when washing your hair is a little terrifying. But, we’re not talking freezing cold water, you can always start by using lukewarm water and then switch to cold for a burst before you step out of the shower to reap the same benefits. Cold water helps seal up the hair cuticle for a smooth, shiny, frizz-free finish and is totally quick and easy to do, need we go on?! : )
